Armed forces
Areas of application
Armed forces worldwide are faced with the complex task of ensuring security and stability in conflict and post-conflict regions. The defense against explosive ordnance plays a central role here – from securing one's own operations to supporting humanitarian missions. In particular, the increasing threat from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) requires innovative detection solutions and in-depth expertise.
Tasks & challenges
Military explosive ordnance disposal includes:
- Large-scale clearance projects in a wide range of terrains
- Safe route clearance in tactical operations
- Support for humanitarian clearance operations
- Training and knowledge transfer in specialized demining centers
- Defense against asymmetric threats from IEDs
Detection solutions
VALLON offers state-of-the-art detection systems for the diverse requirements of military explosive ordnance disposal:
- Dual-sensor detectors - The VMR3G enables the reliable location of metal-free objects and is particularly suitable for the detection of IEDs
- Compact metal detectors – VMF4 and VMC4 combine maximum detection performance with maximum mobility – ideal for tactical operations
- UXO detectors – The modular magnetometer VX1 enables the precise location of ferromagnetic objects on surfaces, in boreholes and under water, while powerful multi-channel systems support the efficient clearance of larger areas.
- Underwater detectors – robust systems for use in water depths of up to 60 m
All systems are designed for the toughest operating conditions and impress with their intuitive operation and robust construction.
