NDR report "removers of explosive ordnance"

Countless bombs, shells and grenades from the
Second World War are still slumbering in the soil of Northern Germany. The report accompanies the
explosive ordnance removers in their dangerous work.

The reportage shows the precise and elaborate work of the explosive ordnance removers in an impressive way. With the help of a large team, they track down and defuse dud bombs under precise safety precautions or, if necessary, blast them on site.

A special focus is placed on the Dethlinger Teich in
Lower Saxony, which probably is the largest chemical weapons dump in Europe.
