Capacity building for Ukraine: female deminers train in Kosovo
The large number of explosive ordnance in Ukraine requires qualified specialists for clearance. In Kosovo, Ukrainian participants learn professional mine detection. Training with the VMH3CS metal detector provides the practical skills for this responsible task.
Practice-oriented training
05.2022. In Kosovo, female Ukrainian deminers are being trained. The participants are learning how to use metal detectors and how to conduct systematic searches for explosive ordnance. This qualification will enable them to make an important contribution to security in their home country after their return.
Technical basis
The VMH3CS is used as a proven metal detector in the training. Its ergonomic design supports the work even during longer search operations. The detector can be adapted to different tasks using different search coils:
- mine detection in different ground conditions
- detection of explosive ordnance (UXO)
- adaptation to specific search scenarios
