International Mine Awareness Day – A critical issue that must not be forgotten
Every year on April 4, International Mine Awareness Day brings global attention to the devastating impact landmines continue to have on communities around the world.

The threat is real – and it's growing again
Millions of landmines remain hidden in the ground — in conflict and post-conflict areas, near homes, on roads and farmland. Due to recent global conflicts, the use of landmines is once again on the rise. This makes it all the more important to keep this issue in the spotlight — and to act.
Clearing, protecting, supporting — a global responsibility
Mine clearance is the first and essential step in helping people return home safely. But it goes beyond technology: it also means supporting survivors and their families, raising awareness, and preventing future harm. The international community shares a responsibility to make this possible.
Our role at VALLON
As a specialist in detection technology, VALLON has been part of this global effort for decades. Our high-precision systems support humanitarian organizations, armed forces, and clearance teams worldwide in safely removing landmines — reliably, efficiently, and with technology made in Germany.
But we stand for more than just technology. We stand for partnership. For a shared mission to make the world a safer place — one cleared area at a time.
