German Detection Technology at DEFEA 2025 in Athens
DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens is one of the largest international defense exhibitions in Europe. With 436 exhibitors from 37 countries and over 30,000 professional visitors from 92 countries, the event provided a high-caliber platform for international exchange. VALLON used this opportunity to present proven German detection technology to a broad professional audience.
Strong Partnership in the Mediterranean
Together with our long-standing partner NORICUM from Cyprus, VALLON exhibited at the booth of Houtris Ltd., a Cypriot manufacturer of specialized vehicles. In addition to numerous Greek professional visitors, we were able to welcome delegations from various NATO countries - the exhibition attracted 106 official delegations from 48 countries, including 25 Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Defense. The interest in our fourth-generation metal detectors, dual-sensor systems, and UXO detectors confirmed the relevance of German engineering for modern security challenges.
Political Recognition at the Highest Level
A particular highlight was the visit of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides to our booth. The head of state received detailed information about VALLON detectors that are already successfully deployed in Cyprus. This recognition at the highest political level underscores confidence in our technology and confirms the quality of our systems in practice.
Proven Technology in Global Use
As a German family business with over 60 years of experience, we develop and manufacture detectors that meet the highest quality standards. Our latest generation systems combine innovative features such as wireless configuration, GPS integration, and MIL-STD-810G ruggedness with the reliability of German engineering.
From humanitarian mine clearance to military ordnance disposal – VALLON detectors are deployed worldwide by armed forces, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and explosive ordnance disposal services, enabling people to safely return home after conflicts. Only when mines and unexploded ordnance are cleared can families return home, cultivate fields, and send children safely to school.
