VMC4 in action: French Foreign Legion relies on VALLON technology
On July 9, 2025, the bilateral military exercise "ARGO-25" between Greece and France ended successfully in the waters around Volos and the island of Evia. The French military relied on proven VALLON technology for this amphibious exercise.
VMC4 in military use
It offers maximum sensitivity for detecting objects close to the surface, an ultra-compact design with a carbon telescopic pole, and integrated GNSS for waypoint storage. It can be transformed from an ultra-compact bundle into a fully-fledged detector in just a few simple steps and is suitable for all types of soil under a wide range of conditions.
Proven technology for international missions
The 1er Régiment Étranger du Génie is one of two combat engineer units in the French Foreign Legion. Stationed in Laudun-l'Ardoise, the regiment carries out construction and demolition missions in combat and non-combat conditions, including mine clearance and explosive ordnance disposal.
VALLON detectors are used worldwide by armed forces, NGOs, and humanitarian organizations. They enable the safe location and clearance of explosive ordnance in a wide variety of operational scenarios.
