Working Together for Safe Communities: GICHD Innovation Conference 2025
The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) hosted its Innovation Conference 2025 in Luxembourg. Over 400 participants from more than 60 countries discussed solutions to reduce the risks posed by landmines, cluster munitions, and explosive remnants of war - a threat affecting more than 75 million people worldwide.
Central platform for mine clearance
The four-day conference at LuxExpo The Box brought together armed forces, humanitarian organizations, mine clearance centers, and technology providers. The focus was not only on technical innovations, but also on new working methods, sustainable partnerships, and the financing of mine clearance projects.
Complete solutions for practical use
VALLON and FORCEWARE used the conference as an opportunity for direct exchange with international users. At their joint stand, both companies presented their coordinated systems: high-precision detectors from VALLON for the reliable detection of landmines and unexploded ordnance, and personal protective equipment (PPE) from FORCEWARE. The numerous technical discussions once again underscored that effective mine clearance requires a combination of proven technology and close dialogue between developers and users.
