I need help. How do I reach the VALLON service?
If you need urgent support, you can reach us either by e-mail at service@vallon.de or by phone at +49 7121 9855-0. Please have an error description, the product designation, as well as serial numbers of your VALLON devices ready.

Where can I find an up-to-date user manual for my product?
We will be happy to send you a user manual in PDF format by e-mail and check whether a more recent version of the user manual is available. Please send us a message stating the product designation and serial numbers.

Will I still receive technical support for my VALLON device?
We will be happy to check whether spare parts are still available for your device and whether repairs are still possible. Please send us a message stating the product designation and serial numbers.

Where can I get parts and accessories?

Where and how can I have my VALLON devices disposed of?
Detailed information on proper disposal can be found in the user manual of your VALLON degaussing system.

Where can I have my field strength meter calibrated?
As manufacturer of the field strength meter, we can offer you ISO factory calibration according to VALLON standard exclusively in our factory at Eningen u.A. The metrological traceability of the measuring and testing equipment used to national standards is ensured by our quality management system according to the standards of ISO 9001:2015.

How long does a factory calibration of a field strength meter take?
A factory calibration usually takes approx. 1 week from receipt of the devices and your order.

What is the recommended calibration interval for the field strength meter?
With regular use, we recommend a calibration interval of 1 year.

What types of training does VALLON offer?
We offer operator and service trainings for all VALLON degaussing products. Depending on your needs, the training can take place either at our premises or directly at your site.

Which devices of a degaussing system should be sent in in case of repair?
If your degaussing coil or yoke is operated with a low-frequency generator, please always send us the low-frequency generator as well in case of repair. If in doubt, please contact us in advance.

Does my degaussing system require regular maintenance by the manufacturer?
Our degaussing systems are either maintenance-free or low-maintenance. In this regard, please observe the inspection and maintenance instructions mentioned in the user manual. We will be happy to carry out these services for you on request.

Are spare parts kits for degaussing systems also offered?
If you need spare parts kits, please contact us by e-mail at info@vallon.de or call us and we will be happy to give you a quotation. Please have the product name and serial numbers of your units ready.

Can I request a personal product demonstration?
A personal product demonstration is possible in principle, but depends on the availability of suitable equipment. For further information, please contact us.

What are the costs for a degaussing system and how can I request a quotation?
We will be happy to inform you about the prices during a personal meeting or through a written offer.

What warranty do you provide for your equipment?
All new VALLON items are guaranteed for 12 months after transfer of risk.

Do you offer maintenance contracts for your degaussing systems?
If you are interested in maintenance contracts, we are at your disposal for information and offers.

What does a degaussing test at VALLON cost?
As a matter of principle, degaussing tests are carried out free of charge. Nevertheless, please note that the costs for the delivery of the goods and their return transport are at your expense. If the delivery packaging is listed as disposable packaging or is not suitable for return transport, we will inform you accordingly and provide you, if necessary, with an offer for packaging and shipping costs.

Is it possible to carry out a test with a suitable degaussing system on site? What are the costs for this?
The possibility of an offer for a degaussing test depends on the availability of suitable equipment. We will send you this equipment either as a free loan (small devices) or – to cover our costs – as a paid rental offer. For more information, please contact us directly.

Do you also carry out contract degaussing?
Yes, but commissioning contract work requires that we can also fulfil it according to your requirements. Please contact us to discuss the details.

Is it possible to rent a degaussing system and how are the costs calculated?
Yes, if a suitable degaussing system is available, we will be happy to rent it to you. The rental costs incurred for this are calculated per each commenced calendar week from delivery. Please contact us to discuss the details.

Can I rent a VALLON field strength meter for testing?
Yes, if a demonstration unit is available, we can of course provide it as a rental unit. The rental costs incurred for this are calculated per each commenced calendar week from delivery. Please contact us to discuss the details.
3. Product features

Can I switch the measuring unit on the field strength meter VFM1?
No, we deliver the VFM1 field meter directly in the corresponding fixed measuring unit A/cm or Gauss.

Are the degaussing systems also available for other mains voltages and mains frequencies?
On request, we can of course also offer our degaussing systems for other mains voltages and mains frequencies. Please inform us of the desired mains voltage, mains frequency and mains type when making your enquiry.

According to which norms and standards is the calibration of the field strength meter carried out?
